My Poinsetta - growing out doors in Charlotte NC

by Tina
(Charlotte, N.C.)

I planted my tiny dying poinsetta after christmas this year in April. It is absolutely beautiful and full plant of approx. 4 feet tall and around.
I have fear of losing it in the winter months. Does ANYONE know what I can do to keep it living during the cold months? PLEASE ADVISE if anyone knows.
Regards, Tina

This may help with poinsettias
by: jim ellison

I have not seen anyone keep poinsettias through the winter here in the 48 states but in Hawaii it is a different story. If you go to my poinsettia page on this website at http//:www.basic-info-4-organic-fertilizers.com/poinsettias there is a video that will show how to propagate the plant to keep it going. Doesn't look too difficult. Good luck.
