Elm Leaf Beetles These beetle lay eggs on the underside of elm leaves, and will skeletonize the leaves.Use beneficial nematodes or neem oil to control these beetles.
European Corn Borer Affects corn, beans, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and potatoes.Feeds on corn leaves, tassels, and under husks, tunnels into stems and pods of the other crops. Attract native parasitic flies and wasps for control.
Fire Ants mainly feed on beneficial insects.
Flea Beetles Found throughout the USA, they attack leaves and seedlings.Use beneficial nematodes or neem oil biopesticide to control these beetles.
Fleas A nuisance carrier of many diseases, especially harmful to our pets.Use beneficial nematodes spread on soil, and citrus oil, to control fleas.
Flies A nuisance pest, carrier of germs.Use sticky traps that can be hung in infested areas. Use diatomaceous earth as a food additive for livestock or pets at a rate of 1% food volume.
Fungus gnats Found mainly on potted plants. They injure the roots of these plants.Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Citrus oil drenched into the soil will control these gnats.
Grasshoppers These pests will eat anything that is green or is a vegetable.Nosema locustae is a protozoan that controls grasshoppers. Garlic-pepper plus citrus oil sprayed at first sighting helps repel them.
Grubworms, White Grubs A beetle larva that feeds on plant roots.Control with beneficial nematodes released at label rates. Compost, organic fertilizers, and microbial stimulators will also deter these worms.
